What is iJol?

iJol is a South Afrian events community, where content is added by its users. iJol is an attempt to provide a central knowledge base of popular events, so you know what's going down, and when.

Anybody who signs up can share events. Join us Now.

What kind of events can I Post?

Anything goes. Event submissions are not limited to parties and gigs. Anything of interest belongs here; Festivals, poetry recitals, movie screenings, plays, sporting events, house parties, art exhibitions, your gran's garage sale.

How do I submit an event?

It's easy! All you have to do is make sure you're logged in, and click on Make a Jol to enter the details of the event. It will then immediately appear in the Event Listing.

Why should I go to the trouble of signing up?

Because, registered users can:

  1. Submit events, photos and comments
  2. Filter event listings by preferred provinces
  3. Have a profile page, and buddies

In short, there's alot more you can do once you've taken a minute to Join Us.

What's in a Buddy?

A buddy is another iJol user that you trust, or consider to be a friend. Only your buddies are able to leave messages for you on your profile page. When viewing an event's details, you'll also be able to see which of your buddies have marked that they are attending that event.

How many photos can I upload?

As many as you want! We encourage you to post fliers and leaflets for upcoming events, as well as any photos you have from the event itself. Photos you have uploaded will be shown on your profile page. Please keep photos relevant, and (relatively) clean.

How can I help?

Tell your friends! The more registered iJollers we have, the broader the base of events wil be submitted. Also, if you have any ideas, complaints or suggestions about the site, why not send us a message and let us know?
